Actually according to the army manual on sabotage and demolition, sugar in
the tank is totally useless.
They tried it many times and it did nothing. It's not soluble in
gasoline. I did have good results with it once though
in a back handed way. An old fud who was giving me a really hard time came
out to the parking one day lot and found
some empty sugar packets under his car's gas filler and a few grains of
sugar on the fender. When I walked by he was siphoning
the gas out of his tank. There was no sugar in the tank but he didn't know
that. 8-)
