You can never be too rich, too thin or have too many bikes or boats. I am
glad to hear that I am not the only one with more toys than storage space. I
just told my wife I am building the umiak this winter. ( I'll spring the 3rd
recovery kayak on her later in the season.) She usually "suggests" that I get
rid of something to accomodate the new toy, but not this time. Maybe I am
wearing her down.

I currently have 4 bikes (2 road, 2 mountain), 4 kayaks ( 2 skin recovery
types, a Bill Low Excalibur skin baidarka and the my original boat, a 60 lb
Prion Seayak (that Bill in a brilliant bit of marketing dubbed the "Queen
Mary") . The garage also houses 2 windsurfers, my brother-in-law's canoe and
a Sunfish. In the cellar, my son stores one of his two canoes. Possible
genetic link here?

I expect Harvey Golden to be our "loser" in the sensible boat fleet category.

Between my wife and I:

Dyson design 5.7 baidarka

VCP PinTail - my go anywhere in any condition kayak

VCP Nordkapp HM - wifes boat

Futura Carrera - race surf ski

Necky Jive - whitewater/surfing/rolling session kayak

Wenonah Jensen 17 - family canoe

Old Town Tripper - freight canoe

WeNoNah J200 - solo racing canoe

2 WeNoNah usca tandems - in theory one to race, one beater for practice

Under construction child size greenland kayak

Coming in the spring - small tandem recreational kayak (probably purchased).

Seriously contemplating - a convertible Kayaks Hawaii surf ski/outrigger canoe

I would buy a used Mako surf ski if I could find one, the price of a new one
keeps it as a

  contemplation.
