Dyson Baidarka & Company has a good selection of fabrics
and I believe they also have sewing thread and lashing
materials. You can reach them at (360) 734-9226.

I purchased 13 ounce polyester fabric from them. For
sewing the skin, I used 50# test braided Dacron fishing
line. For lashing the frame, I used Gudebrod polyester
lacing tape, which you can find at some electronics
suppliers (it's used for lacing wiring harnesses).
