Before finishing my newest boat, a retrieval kayak, I glassed 16oz stips
along the keel and stringers. I didn't reinvorce the rest of the bottom.
I've yet to really run it over a big rock, but I'm pretty certain that
it'll be fine for extended dragging and sliding.
