I thought this might be of interest to those in the Wash DC region.

jonathan waterman is the author of Arctic Crossing, a chronicle of his

journey across the arctic circle. traveling primarily by sea kayak--and
sometimes by sled and skis--waterman traveled the northwest passage in a
series of trips that began in 1997.
for those who might be interested, jonathan waterman, will speak at national
geographic on wednesday, february 27 at 7:30 p.m. call 202.857.7700 for
ticket info.
To any who are interested - I called the ticket office to find out how much
the lecture is, and it is $16 if you are not a member (I guess it's cheaper
if you are a member).
