There are also many rubber membranes used for commercial roofing
applications, however, most of these do not have any cloth reinforcement.
Weight is not a consideration for these products, so they may be quite
heavy. Also, they are designed to lay flat on a fully supported surface,
versus being stretched over a framework.

A better choice might be to obtain the coated fabric used for constructing
white water rafts from one of the raft supply houses or catalogs (e.g.
NWS). This stuff has already been proven in boat use, and stands up to
UV, abrasion, etc. It is usually welded with heat or solvents.
