Bending stuff. Right now I'm steaming a couple coaming blanks of spruce.
The ash man was all out, but if these fail I can head out back with a saw
and get some real fresh ash.

I love my round willow ribs in my baidarka. For this Caribou kayak I used
mostly very fresh green ash, didnt even have to steam it. I did steam
bend a few white cedar ribs for the cockpit area, but had poor luck.
Supposedly green cedar doesnt steam as well as dry, soaked cedar. But if
you get day old fresh ash you might not need any steam!
