Hello,

This is my first post to this list.

I just ordered Chris Cunningham's recent book on building a W.
Greenland SOF, and hope to begin building sometime next month. I'm
just about finished with a stitch & glue boat (Arctic Hawk). This will
be my first SOF. I'm too excited to wait for the book to arrive and
see what he says about this, so I'll ask a quick question now...

Since I don't plan on sewing myself to the coaming, I'd like to know
your opinions on the practical pros and cons of various coaming rim
options for securing a Brooks Tuiliq or Akuilisaq:

I've seen rope used on this type of coaming, and I thought it looked
quite nice. Is this a good and well proven method? Any other ideas I
should consider? I would also appreciate links to photos if any of you
would like to show me what you've done.

Thanks!
