Anyone have thoughts on the qualifications of American basswood (Tilia
americana)for kayak longitudinals? Its one of the few woods I can find
green and clear regularly. So far what I've learned has me curious about
its potential but not overly excited. Strong for its weight but is it
strong enough? Its also pretty darn soft
