I did a test on glues a while back and found that Elmers ProBond is fit for
kayak work. To make a long story short I violated the directions in several
ways and found that it will hold permanently after only 4 hours drying time
followed by 2 weeks torture immersed in salt water. The only failure occurred
when I tried to bond two oiled surfaces together. Oiling after the four hours
dry time had no effect at all.
