[baidarka] Deck Fittings...

I'm just about to start skinning my Baidarka, and an thinking about deck
fittings.

I'm wondering what kind of deck line layouts other people used, what they
used for lines, and most importantly, when they installed them, and how they
dealt with sealing the skin if they installed them first.

I'm currently thinking of fittings more in the "Greenland" style, using
leather and beats, etc... I'm thinking of doing it after I seal the skin,
and drilling and pegging the lines. I also considered just sewing the lines
to the skin with d-rings or similar.

What about perimeter lines? Should I include lines for a 'fixed' paddle
float rescue (I don;t even know if it can be done in a Baidarka.)?

Any and all advice would be appreciated.

Thanks much.
