There is a guy in the backwoods of Alaska named Dean Robertson, who has done a lot of research on traditional hunting tools. His idea of research is to live off the land and survive using the traditional tools, after having studied them in the museums and books. He has made miniatures of several of the traditional kayak hunting tools. You might find Dean at forestlife@yahoo.com. (yeah, an Alaskan mountain man with internet...)

Dean really walks his talk. It's not just a hobby for him, it's dinner. He has a baidarka, but I don't know if he is currently near the water or back in the mountains. He's taken me to his camp before when he was on Baranof, and he is quite a trip. You will enjoy the contact.

In _The Central Eskimo_, Boas shows a drawing of a walrus lance, Figure
43, though without great detail. Dont know if thats what you're looking
for or not. If it is, perhaps more detailed info can be had from the
Museum fur Volkerkunde, Berlin, or its modern day equivalent.
