There'll be a difference I expect, but probably not all that different if
you're planning a 1/2 mile walk with it on your shoulder. Either would be
thoroughly debilitating.
I have a 50 yard walk to the water when the tide is out and have a wee
trolley for my 40 pound baidarka. Without it I'd be knackered before I even
started wrestling to put on my shrinky canvas spray deck. Even more
knackered when coming ashore <puff, wheeze>.
Make a trolley with nice big wheels that you can dismantle and stow under
the deck behind the cockpit ( - and DON'T make your spraydeck out of tightly
fitting canvas).
It works for me . . .
