My first boat was a double Aleut baidarka built while single and took three
months.
The second boat was built while dating a steady girlfriend and took a year
even though it was a much simpler one cockpit single and I had more
experience at building boats.
my most recent boat took 7 years to complete when I was not busy getting
married, buying houses, having kids and working to pay for all that.
I have no idea of how many hours were spent "working on the boat". only
elapsed time from start to finish of each project.
