Doug,

I haven't done the entire stern, or the the bow at all, as neither really
needs it. I do believe in preventative maintenance though, so I have a 4 inch
strip, 3 inches on the keelson fabric and 1 inch vertical on the fixed rudder
experimentally. I've banged it on cement ramps and run it through the usual
beach obstacles and it looks good to this point. I'm just waiting for warmer
weather to do the rest. Like I said so far so good and it's sure better than
Aquaseal.

My cockpit lip is 5/8 inch nylon rope, ala Corey Freedman, sewn on to the
combing. It works well enough but the air spaces from the 3 strand rope
always bothered me. I used 5600 on that too filling gaps. The gaps were
plugged and the rope is effectively glued to the upper level of the combing,
and became quite stiff, and in my humble opinion easier to use.
