Yes I was about to sugest such a thing. The meet actualy originated in
Richmond when Ron Franklin first put it together, and it would be nice to
bring it back??
That does not mean we have to make it the same gethering Baidarka Meet/
North East Skin Boat gathering. But a meet of such a nature would be nice
up here.
Things that ought to be thought about would be accessible camping/lodging
for those from away, a suitable beach that two dozen boats could hog for a
day, a likely sunday paddle trip and a nearby eating establishment for a
saturday diner group gather. All elements that I am sure we can come up
with if we put our heads to it.
The informal nature of the traditinal meet has been a real atraction to
many of us who have atended in the past.
There are plenty SOF and S&G folks around here I think that it may be worth
it.
