Subject: [baidarka] chine stringers

Well, I finished lashing my Greenland today. I had a tough time getting the
chine stringers to twist so they would lie flat against the ribs towards the
ends of the boat.
I wasn't 100% successful, but close.
I mostly made it work by forcing the string to twist with a block of wood and
a c-clamps.
This did result in individual lashings as I didn't have enough c-clamps to so
I could do a continuous lashing. Is this a common problem or did I screw up
somewhere.
The frame feels real solid now that it's complete. tung oil this weekend, or
maybe boiled linseed oil.
