Hi Everybody,

Good news! I think Thomas Groegler in Germany found the ideal skin covering.....
Its a polyurethane made by the Coelan company (www.coelan.de) and it's called bootsbeschichtung. This stuff has a very high elasticity (310 percent until
failure) and its really tough ( 35 N/ square mm) wich is far higher than normal polyurethane paints.
This means that the coating actually is more elastic than the nylon used while adding strength to the skin.
He actually goes back to a 200 gram / square meter nylon cloth and it turns out to be absolutely strong enough!
The coating can be colored or pigmented as just any other polyurethane and has a clear slightly golden color of itself (like varnish).
I don't know if it is available stateside but I'd sure try to find out. This stuff is pure paint magic!
