Hi Joe,

I think you will notice a definite difference in stability, specifically in the endstability of the boat. That however isn't as much of a problem as you might think.
You'll get used to that quite quickly. What is a problem however is that you'll have an unfair boat and will get problems with the length of the ribs in the aft deck.
If you get a narrower beam in only a portion of the deck then the ribs will have to be shorter in that section or you won't get a fair keel line! I'd say put the
spacer back in and make a longer deckbeam to get the gunwales to run into a fair curve.
