[baidarka] plan detail question for builders of Dyson baidarkas

I just got my baidarka plans in the mail today, for both one and two hatch
boats :). Anyhow, looking through the plans, I came up with a couple of
questions related to the frames in the region of the hatches. First, the
ends of the frames that mate with the cockpit rims are weirdly drawn --
that meant to represent the fore-aft bevel in the frame end? Second, I
can't find patterns for the spacers between those frames and the shear
stringer. Are those pieces meant to be made to fit after the shear
stringers are in place and faired? Also, has Dyson completely abandoned the
floorboards pictured in the book, and why? Weight only or some other reason?

PS -- one hatch or two? I'm having trouble deciding.
