William- Those black and white photos really bring to life the starkness
of the terrain and hint at the tenuous existence led by the people
living in the Port Burwell / Killinek area .
While kayaks receive scant mention in the following link it might prove
interesting reading as it talks about establishing a North Atlantic Air
Route in 1929. Note the 30 foot tide reference.
