My obervation is that nylon and polyester cost about the same as canvas,
weighs less, is stronger AND lasts longer. So it seems to me that there is
no advantage to using canvas (unless of course you have a real low price
supply of it). Since the nylon costs about the same, if examining the frame
is an issue, you could simply doing on the same schedule as you would
canase. Or devise a way to remove it and reinstall it, saving money and
some labor.
