Corey has a whole setup for laminating a paddle blank, using an
inflated fire hose as a press for laminating pressure. Last year before
I came to Japan, he and I worked together to set this press up to
laminate an Aleut blank. We used yellow cedar for the core, with
redcedar blades. If you contact Corey, you can probably get a blank
paddle. The blades will be laminated for you, and the rough shape will
be there, but all the carving of the faces and profiles are left to
