Howdy

I am building a West Greenland SOF Kayak according to Robert Morris's book,
"Building a Skin-On-Frame Boat". I have some questions about construction,
especially lashing. Please look at the lashings at:

Are the lashings on the second page safe? I am using artificial sinew, a
waxed polyester for the lashings, but am concerned that I am not tying them
correctly. In Robert Morris's book he says that both sides of the loops
should join when tied with half hitches. Other that appearance, do the
loops need to be in contact? Or are the lashings I've already done adequate?

Oh yea, if there are any errors or mistakes that I am making in building
this kayak, PLEASE don't hesitate to let me know. This is my first
skin-on-frame boat, and I really don't have a clue as to what I am doing.
