It's no joke the right wing idiots, the ones who what government out of
their lives and believe their home is their castle have approved
legislation, "the Patriot Act" that lets the government search their homes
at any time without a warrant! FOR NO CAUSE. Just like the KGB used to do.
Ya think the gun nutz would have caught on that if the government wants to
take their guns away the first thing the Government hast to is find out who
has them. The Patriot act does just that.
The other thing the narrow minded racist bigots have done here in Arizona is
approve a proposition that requires that the state/county and local
governments not give any services to illegal aliens. AND they have made it
that if government employees don't turn in folks that are illegal aliens
then they could face fines and jail time. The RIGHT thought it would be a
good deal.... GET THEM LAZY ALIENS OFF OUR WELFARE ROLES. Cool part is that
there were already laws that prevented the illegal from receiving welfare.
This new law will result in you having to show your birth certificate just
to go to a public park, use a library, or a plethora of public services. Oh
yea as a result of this law the Police can now stop you and demand
identification if you are walking on a road or sidewalk. It's a public
service and you can't use it if you are not a citizen!! Don't got your
Birth certificate?? Well guess what Off to immigration for you until you
can prove your citizenship. Drivers license won't do cause it's not proof
of citizenship. Certified copy of your birth certificate, Citizenship
papers (if you are naturalized) or Passport, Nothing else will do.
SO for our paddle club, we will now have to have our birth certificate to
access the local city lakes!!!!
