mea culpa. I guess if I wanted to jump into the fracas, I should have simply
walked over to the shelf, pulled down a physics book and copied out the
definitions. Until we can agree on a set of terms for such an important
discussion, we'll never get anywhere.
Better than taking the Aristotilian approach, what kind of experiment could
be (or has been) designed around paddles?
