Thanks Peter and Will. I was under the impression that the baidarka was a
very tender craft, and that it shouldn't be used by other than a very
competent paddler. I am a novice at this, with only about 20-30 hours of
paddling in my West Greenland, and I have yet to complete a successful roll
yet. :( Wet exit's each and everyone.

The good news is that I've been able to self rescue each time. :p

So is it that the baidarka is inherently unstable, or can it's stability be
adjusted by moving the chine's and widening the beam?
