Hi Bruce,

I learned to paddle in my baidarka and (touch wood) haven't accidentally
capsized in it yet.

The first few times I took it out it felt a bit wobbly, but now it feels as
solid as a rock.

One tip - a bit of heavy stuff loaded in it makes it even steadier. I used
a cannister full of sand (about 25 pounds) strapped to the inside of the
bottom, behind the cockpit, for a little while. A great confidence booster.
