Yes, he does. The last time I saw Lew, he was lean and strong as a
rail. Ha, I could not keep up with him even when he was trying to let
me!

Part of that is paddle. He uses a 90" or 92" (230-240) Aleutian
paddle with the groove, about a 33" blade on about a 24" loom. He
makes his paddles very fine, about 10 cm wide. Lots of flex in the
blades. Beautiful work, very fast paddles, his longer ones are way
too much paddle for me -- wear me out quickly.

His hulls run under 20" beam, usually around 19' as I recall. Again,
all speed. I have lots of respect for what Lew knows and does.
