When we step outside the borders of the US, it is easier to see the ways in which our quality of life has been degraded as a result of greed, in one form or another. Many of our European, Asian, and North American friends value the quality of the lives of their people more than the bottom lines of their corporations. These states show this through public transportation systems that work, public facilities that provide for the health and recreation of their people, attitudes and policies in their agencies that support community service -- a general "people first" orientation.

So fishermen are selfish the world over, as in the UK there are people who cannot bear the idea of people having "free" fun. Charge for admission to the wild, licence bicycles and kayaks, what next a tachometer in each trainer so that miles jogged can be charged for?
