For all its worth.
I have had horrible luck with acrylic latex paint peeling off my nylon
skinned boat.

I have had good luck with Gaco neoprene or hypalon (opaque) sticking to
nylon and they are easy to repaint or patch up years later.

my newest boat has a toxic expensive two part polyurethane that looks great
(translucent) and is holding up well.

- in the works, a short(7'ish) flat bottomed planing hull, hard edged,
