There is an answer to this sea sock problem, it's called, gulp, a
Sit-on-top, lol. No I don't mean the plastic recreational yaks but do refer
to some very competent designs like the Kaskazi Skua. 17-1/2 x 22-1/2 in
glass (55 lb) or carbon/kevlar (maybe 38-40).

With this yak you can tour, lean turn, eskimo roll (with seat belt), even
have a detachable spray cover for your legs. Best of all worlds to some.
