It's more of a hunt for as much information as I can find, which your
post has abundantly provided.
I live in Holland, MI, and I realized today that I drive past a
couple of yacht builders all the time, and the Tiara place had a pile
of exotic-looking 3 to 4 foot pieces of wood stacked neatly in front
of their dumpster, I'll have to check it out. The scavenging method
appeals to me on so many levels (it's cheap, environmentally
sensitive, cheap, fun like a treasure hunt, and cheap). This forum
is the best thing I've found online (well, this and Slashdot).On May
