Subject: [baidarka] High-altitude steam bending

I'm considering building a Greenland kayak. Everything I've read about
steam bending says that getting the highest possible temperature is
critical to success. I have a basic disadvantage -- I live at 5400 ft.
(1600 m) altitude. The temperature of boiling water here is about 86C
or 204F.
Has anyone successfully done steam bending at this altitude?
