[baidarka] greenland-style paddling vs aleut-style paddling

This is a beginner's question ... please forgive me.

In class listings offered at symposia, I see a number of classes for
greenland-style paddling. However, I have a iqyax not a qajaq. So,
should I seek out a class for aleut-style paddling? What would be the
difference? Simpler rolls? Should I take a greenland-style paddling
class and just try to translate the style to paddling my baidarka?

By the way, in the edged-turn class, I found that with as much edge as I
could muster, the boat still tracked with little noticeable turn. Is
this common with baidarkas, or am I just doing it horribly wrong? I
want to know because they say that edging will help with maintaining
course when in windy conditions.

Thanks!
