Subject: [baidarka] hull designs

I am about to finish my 3rd folder and it is, like the two before it,
a single keel - as opposed to many folding kayaks that have a double
keel. It looks like one advantage to the double keel type is that you
would be able to get the seat just a little lower in the boat. I'm
wondering if the initial stability is also a little more stable than
the single keel V design.
Has anyone here had any practical experience between the two? I'm
thinking I might make a wood frame non folder double keel type just
to try it out.
