Will,

Good ideas about camping. I just used by Corey Freedman style baidarka for a week long trip. It is 21" wide and 16 ft. 8 inches long. As I get more organized, I believe that I could go for 10 days of camping. I use a one man tent, small gas stove, camping and cooking gear, fishing equipment, all my food and clothes for the trip. I did make some dry bags and used a pulley which was installed in the bow to assist getting the taperd bag all the way to the front. I would definitely use a sea sock if you are in any difficult conditions and it keeps the boat alot cleaner. I wish I had considered all the equipment which I might want to take as I constructed my boat. I cannot fit my bear proof container under my deck beams at this time.

I think that it is very difficult to use the larger vinyl bags to pack efficiently in a skinboat.

Tom
