last year's event was very nice and people who went spoke highly of
it. What I liked about it was that it was very cooperative - very
little distinction between experts on one side and attendees on the
other acting as consumers. It was entirely participative. I was
also impressed by the quality of the potluck. Definitely 4 star.

This year, Harvey Golden is coming to do the Saturday night
presentation. Harvey has done dozens of replicas of all kinds of
different kayaks. Also coming down is Mike Livingston, kayak builder
who represented the Aleuts in the Alaska Native Heritage boat project
several years back. He will be talking about Aleut shamanism at the
Friday night presentation. He will also show a short video about
native boat construction for the Alaska Native Heritage center boat
project.
In addition, Dubside and Cheri Perry will demonstrate Greenland
rolls. Last year, Dubside also demonstrated Greenland rope exercises.
