The change is that where before the wooden braces were half-rounded on the ends where they meet to stop them from rotating up past horizontal, they are now fully rounded and there are ½" angle-bar pieces riveted onto the flat metal brace to act as stops.
On the end braces the piece fits above the top wooden braces, as shown here.
On the mid braces, the angle piece fits above the bottom wooden braces, as shown below.
The top of the flat metal brace can be made an extra ½" long and bent over to provide a stop for the top wooden braces, as shown here.
