Hello there,
I am just back from purchasing aluminum tubing from as mega wholesale
store.
Could not find T 6061, which is apparently an american specification to
which anticorodal 3569 UNI grade corresponds.
By the way, t 6061 T6 , that was mentioned on these pages is rated only
"2" in a 1-6 scale as corrosion resistant in a marine salty mist.
My question: I was advised to anodize the aluminum prior to mounting the
inserts. How did you proceed? any coating at all? just some vaseline,
paint or what ??
