Hello Stefano
I used AlSi05 for the joints of my folding kayak. Corrosion took mostly
place, where I drilled holes or saw the material. The rest looks used but
not terrific.
I think, anodizising is the best way to prevent corrosion. The main problem
are the places, where stainless steel meets drilled aluminium.
