Hi gang,
I've been reading the strings about lashing vs. zip ties and the mention
of tarred materials. I was at a local vendor here in Pgh. and they
happen to be hemp importers. They had a hemp twine rated at 170lb. test
strength. I'm having him sample some hemp fabrics as well to possibly
substitute for 10oz. cotton duck.
A few months back there was a short string on the durability and
possible use of hemp fabric....has anyone gone any further?
I'm going to try and get him to "sponsor" my project, in exchange for
hanging my finished boat, or photos in his shops.
I would appreciate any others sources, if he can't find suitable fabric.
