Sono tubes are hard cardboard tubes used by the construction
industry as molds for pouring concrete to make foundation
pillars etc. I know they are available in 24-inch diameters
more and less. You will have to check suppliers in your
own area for price, availability etc.
The tubes seemed to be a good idea if you want to freight
your kayak with relative safety.
