A few years back I had the opportunity to survey a
number of traditional Chippewa canoe paddles from
private collections as well as from museums. Without
exception they seemed to have more flex than modern
commercial products. Apparently, your paddles are much
closer to the traditional product than most of the
commercial specimens.
