Ahh, single blades, now you are entering my territory. I'll have to look up
the references that you cite before I comment. All I have is Adney and
Chapelle.

There is a lot to know regarding single blades, too much to go into here.
If anyone wishes to ask specific questions, I'd be glad to offer what I have
learned.

In general, North American Native paddles average 25"-32" long, throat to
tip. Most of my blades are about 27". Most are about 6" max width.
