Some time back I found a well-done e-article about crafting feathered wooden
paddles using a laminated shaft. The shaft is twisted while the glue is
wet. While I've not yet tried it, it's certainly on my list of projects,
and it seems eminently doable. I saved the article with most of the relevant
artwork, but I failed to record the URL.
Lamination opens up a host of possibilities for combining qualities of
lightness, livliness and durability. The article is long, but if any of you
would like me to forward a copy in your direction, please just e-mail me
(paxtonm@hotmail.com) and I'd be happy to return the file to you.
