Area is does not affect efficiency directly, the higher wetted area of the
larger blade would have higher drag for the same amount of thrust
generated, but there are many other things that affect this too. All are
very interrated and there is no clear answer since you change one thing you
affect all others.

What I suspect is that the smallest, higher AR blade would take the least
amount of total power input for constant speed low powered cruising. Other
conditions, than other designs would be better.

Must do careful tests to know for sure.
