on my PVC coated baidarkas, any duct tapes fell off after a few days of
paddling and left behind an ugly dark smear that was difficult to remove.
I do well remember the duct tape I used to seal the zipper on the baidarka
I took to Vancouver Island; for a few days it was fine, then it started
to loosen, and after I got home it just was a mess. Since then, I have cut
1-inch tape out of the PVC that I used for the skins, glued it on, and
_that_ has lasted for years now. I've been out with the baidarka last
sunday, and the only thing showing its age it the cover of the Henderson
pump, a white plastic part, having become yellow now, it has been on all
my baidarkas, so no wonder anyway... and then there's the paddler,
having a thick muscle ache in his legs (!)...

Cheers

Hendrik
