Kirk, i can really relate to your "pfd removal test"! happy the day when I
dozed off in the late afternoon sun while floating in the middle of an
inland lake, surrounded by eagles. And Heron didn't dump me!

the same garment change in my 19" beam Dyson 5.7 baidarka, with the seat in.
