Subject: [baidarka] Frame flex.

Ok, frame's done, gonna sew this weekend (though I try to keep my plans liquid
as our first child was due Tuesday but decided the rent is still cheaper in
the womb just for now) and just to see what would happen I put the frame on
the ground in the driveway. I placed two 2x4's on edge underneath the boat,
one about a foot and a half in from either end. Then I stepped into the boat.
It sure did flex a lot. I know it's a little late for me to be worrying about
that sort of thing, but how much is ok? and how much means it's time to worry
that I just spent a lot of time building a boat I can't use? I understand
that these boats are supposed to flex, but how much are they supposed to flex?
Will it not seem to be so much in the water?
Vaya Con Dios.
